Taekwondo

where can i find a taekwondo gym for adults near the airport compound in pasay city?
i want to continue learning taekwondo and even if i stopped for more than 4 years, i still like this sport and want to practice it again. however, i already have a job and i hope there’s still an accessible gym from my workplace where i can enroll. nearby gyms within paranaque and pasay are appreciated. thanks.
This is the first time I’ve heard of someone not able to find a TKD gym. wow….pretty much if you walk on every corner of you’re city, you’re bound to find a TKD school.
anyways, if you were able to create a profile, type in you’re question, i’m sure you’re more than capable of looking for a school on google. its not rocket science.

Taekwondo $3.95 Taekwondo is best described as a non-violent art, a system of total body exercise, and a way of life. Translated, "tae" means foot, "kwon" means fist, and "do" means art — the Korean art of the foot and fist. Historians have traced the beginnings of this art to over 1,500 years ago in Korea. Heart of a Warrior: 7 Ancient Secrets to a Great Life $8.13 The inspiration for this book comes from the ancient Korean history of the Hwarang– young student-warriors who worked to strengthen their spirits as well as their fighting skills. Author Jim Langlas, an educator and Taekwondo master, presents seven principles that are rooted in the long tradition of Taekwondo and are also tied to modern character education: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit, community service, and love. Breaking each of the principles into four fundamentals, Langlas explores them through a mix of storytelling from the Hwarang and writing from his own former students, describing ways in which they’ve applied these principles to their own lives and inspiring readers to do the same. Rounding out the narrative are questions to spur reflection, discussion, and action. A background or interest in Taekwondo or other martial arts is by no means necessary for readers to understand and benefit from this engaging book. Its storytelling aspect–and especially the enduring appeal of traditional master/student tales–will resonate with teens of varying interests and backgrounds. |

I am a School owner and instructor for over 22 years, the Head coach of the Maine Junior Olympic Tae-kwon-do National teams (1993 to 2002), and assistant coach of the Senior team.My favorite time is relaxing with my adorable best friend and wife, Michelle. She’s been a God send. One night a week I am devoted to a youth prison ministry in South Portland, two nights are spent teaching Taekwondo, and I work full time as a facility supervisor for a biomedical manufacturer. The most rewarding thing I have witnessed is another person accepting Jesus, seeing their smile and eyes after Jesus has removed their burden. This recently happened at the youth prison when a young man of 17 gave his life to Christ after he had read this book a couple of weeks earlier. What an answer to prayer because the sole purpose of this book is you. I love watching our sovereign God at work performing signs, wonders, and miracles. What an honor it is to be in God’s presence. |

Martial Mechanics: Maximum Results with Minimum Effort in the Practice of the Martial Arts $16.96 Interest in a wide range of martial arts grows exponentially each year, but few practitioners understand the scientific forces that underlie these arts. Drawing on the author’s decades of experience as both student and teacher, "Martial Mechanics "explains, in humorous, easy-to-understand language, how physics and kinesiology affect martial arts techniques and how readers can best utilize them to make them faster, more powerful, and hence more effective in actual combat. Featuring black-and-white photographs throughout, "Martial Mechanics" is written for both internal and external martial artists, " "mixed martial arts practitioners with an interest in competition or self-defense, students of kung fu, karate, taekwondo, muay thai boxing, kickboxing, wing chun, and more. Even many of the traditional grappling arts utilize certain striking techniques, and their disciples as well can improve their percussive skills with this practical guide. |
